Position Overview

Primary responsibilities are the management of new and existing business at a major automotive Tier 1 suppliers.  This includes prospecting new business, managing existing business and production changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with engineering, quality and purchasing contacts within the Tier 1.
  • Understand the new business opportunities in existing commodities, sourcing timing and key deliverables at the Customer. Functional plastics and assemblies.
  • Understand, develop strategy and relationships in the engineering and purchasing groups within the Customer to promote Viking Plastics product offerings.

Job Requirements

Junior Accountant

REPORTS TO: Controller/Assistant Controller

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and support lean culture development through participation in daily drumbeat meetings

Quality Engineer

Viking Plastics – Corry is currently looking to hire an experienced and motivated Quality Engineer to join our growing team.

Summary: Candidates should be dynamic QE’s who have a passion for continuous improvement of our manufacturing process. You must be excited about being involved in a team environment with a goal of 0 DPPM launches and on-time PPAP delivery. It requires someone with a technical background, excellent organizational abilities, customer service ethics, communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Communicate with customers in a proactive style (Establish ongoing positive dialog for continual customer satisfaction)
  • Some travel to visit customer and supplier locations
  • Lead the development and execution of the quality plan for new product launches, ensuring compliance with customer and industry standards
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful launch of new products, including design, engineering, production and supply chain
  • Conduct quality reviews of new products, identifying and resolving potential quality issues before they impact production or customer satisfaction
  • Designing and implementing simple and effective systems, work instructions and mistake-proofing methods for improved customer satisfaction and reducing waste
  • Internal auditing ensuring compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and other relevant quality standards, including PPAP and APQP

Program Manager

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for planning, leading, and organizing the APQP and new product launch functions within the organization. Activities include interfacing with sales and customers while coordinating internal resources and suppliers to develop new programs. Role also will facilitate internal improvement projects as required.

Shift Supervisor

Quality Inspector

We are looking for a responsible Quality Inspector to check the quality of all incoming and outgoing material and products as well as production procedures. You will be a firm advocate of quality in our business. You will embrace our culture of continuous improvement and be an advocate of our 2-Second Lean philosophy.

The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. In depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards is essential. Experience in an ISO 9001 environment is essential with experience in IATF 16949 desired.

Responsibilities

· Read blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies

· Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance

· Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.)

· Use automated systems to perform complex testing procedures

· Maintain records of testing, information, and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc.

· Inspect procedures of the entire production process to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards

· Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and well-maintained and discard any that does not meet requirements

· Prepare and submit reports to the quality manager

Requirements

· Proven experience as quality inspector, quality technician, or a role directly responsible for quality decisions.

· Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems (calipers, mics, pins, cmm, force testing stands, etc.)

· Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies

· Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000, IATF 16949)

· Working knowledge of MS Office
