Corry, PA—Jim Gladden, former CEO/Founder of Genesis Plastics & Engineering and Genesis Plastics Solutions, retired on December 31, 2018.
Gladden has worked in the industry since 1976. He attended Indiana University and earned a bachelor’s degree in business. He began his career as Sales Manager for Amaray International.
After leaving Amaray International, Jim became a partner at Scottsburg Plastics. There he held numerous positions, including sales and engineering manager, manufacturing manager, and vice president. In 1995, Jim started Genesis Plastics and Engineering. Jim was the CEO/ President of Genesis Plastics for 23 years and became a very successful supplier to the automotive industry in the region. Genesis was sold to Viking Plastics in June 2018.
When asked about his career, Jim stated “I have been surrounded by great people for many years. It isn’t about what I have accomplished, it’s about what the people have accomplished. I’m just around for the ride.”
After retirement, Jim plans to continue working on his other business interest.
